This week is known in the Orthodox Church as Great and Holy Passion Week. During the services of this week, which are offered twice a day, morning and evening, we have a chance to walk next to Christ as He goes to His lifegiving Passion. We should make every effort to attend as many of these services as possible, so as to "comfort" our Lord by our presence as He suffers. We desire His presence during the many periods of suffering in our lives. Should we not be in His presence as He prepares for His own Passion?
